Das Kluge Chimp Team Cast and Crew Biographies
Christine Risley, Producer/Director
Christine has written, produced and directed three Umfufu nominated
films (Namibian equivalent of Academy Award). While studying
costume design in London, UK, Christine achieved her ultimate costumier
goal of washing Russell Crowe’s underwear. Her filmmaking experience
includes owning a Nikon camera and watching “Project Greenlight”.
She has absolutely nothing else in development in her life at present.
Wayne Hamilton, Producer/Director
Wayne is a sign maker first and a singer-songwriter second. Movie making
would come somewhere down the line after junk collector but before retired
amateur herpetologist. He has "acted" in a full length feature with his
band mates called "Steve Phoenix,
the Untold Story" and currently writes and records music in a
garage in Fishtown, Philadelphia. He has worked with David Talento to destroy
the definition of music in the "band" Overdrive Date Master. He is currently
developing and organizing the First Annual Philadelphia 48 Minute
Film Festival... featuring several films - written, filmed , scored and
screened by him in a 48 minute time period.
David Talento, Music and Sound Design
David is happy to have made a film where he could make vicious monster
eating sounds because he normally does that anyway and now has a purpose
for it. He is the founder of HelpWanted
Productions a "music" label dedicated to creating and releasing underground
and experimental electronic music. His many personas (and bands)
include DJ Wrong, Tony Violence, Music For Isolation Tanks, and he
paints and uses toys to take LoFi pictures when he should be doing something
more productive for society. He resides in Philadelphia in the haus that
the Peryton was put together with his vicious cat and friendly turtle.
Paul Pugaliese, Director of Photography
Scot Dantzer, Assistant Camera
Scot has been a visual artist since 1988, though his production career
has been in a steady decline for many, many years…as professionals everywhere
will verify. He’s also served time in the music business as a founding
member of The Psyclone Rangers and The Pearly Gates, experiences that left
him a bitter and embarrassing drunk who rarely leaves his tony suburban
Philadelphia lair. Throughout production on “the Peryton” Scot relied on
government checks to cover his huge appetite for lust and fun.
Jonathan Valania, Writer
Jonathan has been writing about music and pop culture for more
than a decade. His work has appeared in the Village Voice, Salon, Revolver,
Magnet, Philadelphia Inquirer. From 1997 to 2002, he was a music critic
for the Philadelphia Inquirer. He was recently awarded First Place for
Criticism by the Society of Professional Journalists (Philadelphia Chapter)
for his music writing. He also was awarded a first place Keystone award
for Beat Writing for his music writing by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.
In 2004 he was ranked as one of the top four music critics in the country
by the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, along with critics from
the VILLAGE VOICE, LA WEEKLY and CHICAGO READER.
Holly Drauglis, Script Supervisor
Holly used to help make movies and TV shows- everything from Dead Poets
Society to Nickelodeon’s Super Sloppy Double Dare. Then she decided
she needed the security of a regular paycheck, so she went legit, working
a series of progressively more interesting jobs, including running the
Philadelphia Music Alliance (www.philadelphiamusicalliance.com).
Holly currently toils away in the Development Department of the Battleship
New Jersey Museum and Memorial. The siren call of the glamorous
world of moviemaking recently beckoned, and much to her surprise, Holly
helped make a movie in 48 hours.
Sean Gallagher, Key Grip
Sean recently appeared in the film Steve Phoenix: The Untold Story
with bandmate and Peryton Co-Producer/Director Wayne Hamilton. During the
day he is an educator at a Center City Charter School.
